Phlegm node

痰核 〔痰核〕tán hé

Any lump beneath the skin that feels soft and slippery under the finger, is associated with no redness, pain, or swelling, and (unlike scrofula) does not suppurate. It is usually caused by the spleen failing to move and transform and allowing damp-phlegm to gather and concentrate.
