Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and slightly astringent; cool.

Actions and indications: Enriches yīn and moistens the lung; clears heat and cools the blood. Treats expectoration of blood due to pulmonary tuberculosis; neurasthenia; poor appetite.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g dried, 9–15g fresh).
