Properties: Bitter and acrid; cold.
Channel entry: Lesser yīn (shào yīn) and greater yīn (tài yīn) channels.*
Actions and indications: Clears damp-heat; disperses stasis; disperses swelling; resolves toxin. Treats strangury-turbidity (lìn zhuó); bloody urine; injury from knocks and falls; intestinal welling-abscesses (cháng yōng); swollen boils; otitis media.
Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–15g); or press the juice. Topical: Apply crushed; juice can be dripped into to the ear.
