- Dispels wind and eliminates dampness: Wind-damp impediment patterns.
Dosage & Method:
Oral: 10–15g in decoctions.
Warning:
To be used with care in kidney yīn depletion.
Notes:
Some texts list mián bì xiè (绵萆薢, Dioscoreae Septemlobae seu Futschauensis Radix, from Dioscorea septemloba Thunb., and D. Futschauensis Uline ex R. Kunth) as an associated medicinal. It has the same actions and indications as bì xiè.
Quality:
Evenly sized white slices are the best.
