Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid*; cold*.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and relieves cough; resolves toxin and disperses swelling. Treats lung heat cough; expectoration of blood due to pulmonary consumption; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); nephritis; swelling of sores, welling-abscesses (yōng), and boils.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–12g dried, 3–6g fresh). Topical: Apply crushed.
