Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bland and sweet; cool.

Actions and indications: Moistens the lung and transforms phlegm; moves qì and relieves pain. Treats pulmonary tuberculosis; expectoration of blood; chronic tracheitis and pharyngitis; mounting qì (shàn qì) pain; menstrual irregularities; bone fractures.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–30g). Topical: Grind and apply mixed.
