Origin in unofficial sources: Bulbophyllum radiatum Lindl.

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and acrid; cool.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and dampness; disperses swelling and relieves pain; cools and quickens the blood. Treats high fever; fright wind; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; numb in the limbs; pain and swelling of the joints; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); painful pharynx; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or steep in wine. Topical: Grind and apply mixed.
