Actions and indications: Eliminates malign qì; repels warmth epidemic; opens the orifices and disperses fire, dispels screens and brightens the eyes.* Treats summerheat heat; cholera; lichen (xiǎn).*

Dosage and method: Oral: Usually made into pills and powders (0.15–0.3g). Topical: Grind to a powder and sprinkle on the affected area or apply mixed.
