Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and bitter; warm.

Actions and indications: Warms the center and quickens the blood; dispels wind and eliminates dampness; kills worms. Treats cold-damp diarrhea; abdominal pain and rumbling intestines; distension and fullness; pain in the sinews and bones; injury from knocks and falls; lichen (xiǎn) and sores.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–18g). Topical: Decoct as a wash or grind and apply mixed.
