Properties: Acrid, and bitter^✽; warm.^✽

Actions and indications: Frees menstruation and quickens the network vessels; resolves toxin and disperses swelling.* Treats venomous snake bites; rabid dog bites; injury from knocks and falls; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); bleeding from external injury.*

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–9g). Topical: Apply crushed.

Warnings: Contraindicated in pregnancy.
