Turtle Shell and Rehmannia Decoction
鳖甲地黄汤 〔鱉甲地黃湯〕 biē jiǎ dì huáng tāng

Ingredients
- Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root])
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) (stir-fried with wine)
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root])
- Biē jiǎ (鳖甲 Trionycis Carapax, turtle shell) (mix-fried with vinegar)
- Shí hú (石斛 Dendrobii Herba, dendrobium)
- Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root])
- Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root])
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria)
- Qín jiāo (秦艽 Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, large gentian [root])
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root])
- Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark)
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried)
Indications: Heat vexation, heart palpitation or fearful throbbing, dry blood consumption with women with emaciation and enduring amenorrhea.
Method: Grind to a powder.
Dosage: 12g at a time, decocted with five slices of ginger and little mume.
