Ingredients

• Shǐ jūn zǐ (使君子 Quisqualis Fructus, quisqualis [fruit]) 150g
• Ròu dòu kòu (肉豆蔻 Myristicae Semen, nutmeg) 150g
• Mài yá (麦芽 Hordei Fructus Germinatus, barley sprout) 150g
• Shén qū (神曲 Massa Medicata Fermentata , medicated leaven) 300g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 300g
• Dà fù pí (大腹皮 Arecae Pericarpium, areca husk) 20g
• Mù xiāng (木香 Aucklandiae Radix, costusroot) 60g
• Zhū dǎn zhī (猪胆汁 Suis Bilis, pig’s bile)

Actions: Kills worms and disperses accumulations.

Indications: Worm accumulations with indigestion and diarrhea.

Category: Worm-expelling formulas

Method: Grind to a powder and form into pills with the pig's bile.

Rationale: Shǐ jūn zǐ and Bīng láng expel worms. Mài yá and Shén qū disperse food. Ròu dòu kòu astringes the intestines and checks diarrhea. Mù xiāng rectifies qì. Huáng lián and pig's bile clear heat. These agents combine to eliminate the worm accumulation, and the pain and indigestion it causes.
