Major Seven Qì Decoction
大七气汤 〔大七氣湯〕 dà qī qì tāng

Ingredients
- Sān léng (三棱 Sparganii Rhizoma, sparganium [root]) 3g
- É zhú (莪朮 Curcumae Rhizoma, curcuma rhizome) 3g
- Qīng pí (青皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, unripe tangerine peel) 6g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 6g
- Xiāng fù (香附 Cyperi Rhizoma, cyperus [rhizome]) 6g
- Huò xiāng yè (藿香叶 Pogostemonis Folium, patchouli leaf) 9g
- Yì zhì rén (益智仁 Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus, alpinia [fruit]) 10g
- Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 30g
- Guì xīn (桂心 Cinnamomi Cortex Rasus, shaved cinnamon bark) 30g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 9g
Indications: The five accumulations and six
Method: Grind to a powder.
Dosage: 9g at a time decocted with two slices of fresh ginger and two jujubes (dà zǎo) before meals.
Notes: The seven qi
appear to refer to the seven affects (qī qíng).
