Indications:

  • Breaks blood and dispels stasis: Blood stasis amenorrhea with abdominal pain; postpartum blood stasis abdominal pain; concretions, gatherings, accumulations, and gatherings.
  • Moves qì and relieves pain: Food accumulation with distension and pain in the stomach duct and abdomen.

    Dosage & Method:

    Oral: Decoct (4.4–9g) or use in pills and powders.

    Product Description:

    This is a spheroid rhizome about 5 cm long and 3 cm in diameter, with a slightly twisted point at the base. There is the scar left by the stalk at the top. The exterior surface is brown and is relatively smooth, with numerous straight longitudinal wrinkles. It is encircled by 5–8 annular node scars, and toward the lower extremity has numerous small tumorous spots, which are the scars left by fibrous roots. It is hard and light. The decocting pieces are thin transverse slices, revealing the creamy white interior, which turns darker after processing with vinegar.WRITE ABOUT JIN SAN LENG

    Quality:

    Firm rhizomes with the outer skin completely removed, and a pale-yellow outer surface are the best.

    Etymology:

    Sān léng 三棱 literally means ""three ridges"" or ""three arrises."" Although the traditional literature says item is so named because the plant has three ridges, it is not obvious what these refer to.XXX
