Bamboo Shavings Gallbladder-Warming Decoction
竹茹温胆汤 〔竹茹溫膽湯〕 zhú rú wēn dǎn tāng

Ingredients
- Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root]) 3–5g
- Zhú rú (竹茹 Bambusae Caulis in Taenia, bamboo shavings) 3g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 3g
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 3–4g
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 3g
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 3g
- Xiāng fù (香附 Cyperi Rhizoma, cyperus [rhizome]) 2g
- Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root]) 2–3g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 2–3g
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange) 1–2g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 1–2g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1g
- Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) 1–2g
Indications: Heat effusion, insomnia, vexation and agitation, and copious phlegm.
Method: Decoct with water.
