Source: Wēn Bìng Tiáo Biàn 温病条辨

Ingredients

• Jīn yín huā (金银花 Lonicerae Flos, lonicera [flower]) 15g
• Lián qiào (连翘 Forsythiae Fructus, forsythia [fruit]) 30g
• Niú bàng zǐ (牛蒡子 Arctii Fructus, arctium [seed]) 18g
• Shè gān (射干 Belamcandae Rhizoma, belamcanda [root]) 9g
• Mǎ bó (马勃 Lasiosphaera seu Calvatia , puffball) 9g

Actions: Clears heat and resolves toxin; drains the lung and disinhibits the throat.

Indications: Sore throat or throat impediment (hóu bì) with difficulty in swallowing due to invasion of the lung by damp-warmth. Tongue: Red with white or yellow fur. Pulse: Slippery and rapid or floating and rapid.
