Single-Armored Pulse-Restorative Decoction
一甲复脉汤 〔一甲復脈湯〕 yī jiǎ fù mài tāng

Ingredients
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 18g
- Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 18g
- Ē jiāo (阿胶 Asini Corii Colla, ass hide glue) 9g
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 15g
- Shēng bái sháo (生白芍 Paeoniae Radix Alba Cruda, raw white peony [root]) 6–9g
- Mǔ lì (牡蛎 Ostreae Concha, oyster shell) 30g
Actions: Enriches yīn and restores the pulse.
Indications: Later stages of warm heat disease with damage to yīn-blood, characterized by thin sloppy stool and heart palpitation. Tongue: Crimson, smooth, and dry. Pulse: Skipping.
Method: Decoct with water.
Notes: This is Jiā jiǎn fù mài tāng (加减复脉汤 Pulse-Restorative Variant Decoction) with the addition of Mǔ lì (one shell or armor.
