Source: Shèng Jì Zǒng Lù 圣济总录

Ingredients:

• Bái fán (白矾 Alumen , alum) 30g
• 猪牙皂角 4 pieces

Action: Ejects phlegm-drool; opens the orifices.

Indication: Wind stroke block patterns with copious phlegm-drool gurgling in the throat, and loss of consciousness. Pulse: Forceful and slippery. Also treats throat impediment (hóu bì).

Category:

Method: Grind to a powder.

Dosage: 1–2g at a time. Take with warm water.
