Ingredients

• Huáng shēng (黄升 Hydrogyrum Oxydatum Crudum Aureum, yellow downborn elixir) 75g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 30g
• Qīng fěn (轻粉 Calomelas , calomel) 30g
• Shí gāo (石膏 Gypsum Fibrosum, gypsum) (calcined) 180g
• Bīng piàn (冰片 Borneolum , borneol) 15g

Actions: Clears fire, resolves toxin, and draws out pus.

Indications: Welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū), and streaming sores after bursting or lancing, characterized by copious pus, persistent pain and swelling, and nontransformation of putridity.

Method: Grind to a powder, and keep in a glass jar. Dab on or insert into the opening of the sore.
