Flesh-Engendering Jade and Red Paste
生肌玉红膏 〔生肌玉紅膏〕 shēng jī yù hóng gāo

Ingredients
- Zǐ cǎo (紫草 Arnebiae/Lithospermi Radix, arnebia/lithospermum) 30g
- Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica) 30g
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 30g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 30g
- Xuè jié (血竭 Daemonoropis Resina, dragon’s blood) 12g
- Qīng fěn (轻粉 Calomelas , calomel) 12g
- Bái là (白蜡 Cera Alba , white wax) 120g
- Má yóu (麻油 Sesami Oleum, sesame oil) 480g
Actions: Engenders flesh and closes wounds; prevents putrefaction and resolves toxin.
Indications: Ulcerating sores, burns and scalds.
Method: Boil to a paste and apply topically.
