Ingredients:

• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root])
• Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root])
• 天门冬
• Mài mén dōng (麦门冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root])
• Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng)

Action: Boosts qì and nourishes yīn.

Indication: Vacuity taxation with depletion of both qì and yīn, characterized by emaciation, shortness of breath, night sweating, cough and counterflow, and dispersion-thirst (xiāo kě). Tongue: Red and in some cases smooth and furless. Pulse: Fine, soft, and forceless.
