Source: Yī Zōng Jīn Jiàn 医宗金鉴

Ingredients:

• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 3–6g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 3–6g
• Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 3–6g
• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 9–12g
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 9–12g
• Bái sháo (白芍 Paeoniae Radix Alba, white peony [root]) 9–12g

Action: Clears heat and cools the blood.

Indication: Same as for siwutang, but with blood heat.

Notes: This is a variant of Sì wù tāng (四物汤 Four Agents Decoction).
