Ingredients

• Cāng zhú (苍朮 Atractylodis Rhizoma, atractylodes [rhizome])
• Hòu pò (厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, officinal magnolia bark)
• Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel)
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root])
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger)
• Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube)
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root])
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root])

Actions: Dries dampness and clears heat.

Indications: Spleen-stomach damp-heat with glomus and fullness in the stomach duct and abdomen, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat without strong desire for fluid. Sometimes there is diarrhea. Tongue fur: Yellow and slimy.

Notes: This is a variant of Píng wèi sǎn (平胃散 Stomach-Calming Powder).
