Scutellaria and Coptis Stomach-Clearing Powder
芩连平胃散 〔芩連平胃散〕qín lián píng wèi sǎn

Ingredients:
- Cāng zhú (苍朮 Atractylodis Rhizoma, atractylodes [rhizome])
- Hòu pò (厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, officinal magnolia bark)
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel)
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root])
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger)
- Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube)
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root])
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root])
Action: Dries dampness and clears heat.
Indication: Spleen-stomach damp-heat with glomus and fullness in the stomach duct and abdomen, bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat without strong desire for fluid. Sometimes there is diarrhea. Tongue fur: Yellow and slimy.
