九一丹 〔九一丹〕 jiǔ yī dān
Source: Yī Zōng Jīn Jiàn 医宗金鉴
Ingredients
- Shú shí gāo (煅石膏 Gypsum Calcinatum, calcined gypsum) 9g
- Shēng dān (升丹 Sublimatum Triplex , upborne elixir) 1g
Actions: Draws out pus and toxin, dispels putridity and engenders flesh.
Indications: Sores that have burst but continue to suppurate and fail to heal. Can also be used to speed the healing of sores that have ceased suppurating.
Method: Sprinkle over the surface of the sore.

Notes: The formula is so named because of the proportion of the agents.
