This is often referred to as heat binding in the stomach and intestines or heat bind.

Medicinal therapy: Treat by draining-precipitation using cold bitter precipitants to flush the gastrointestinal heat accumulation. The principal formula is Major Qì-Coordinating Decoction (大承气汤 dà chéng qì tāng).
