Uterine obstruction
胞阻 〔胞阻〕bāo zǔ
Also pregnancy abdominal pain. Smaller abdominal pain during pregnancy; attributed to vacuity cold, blood vacuity, or qì depression causing inhibited movement of qì and blood, or blood vacuity depriving the uterine vessels of nourishment.
Patterns
Vacuity cold (虚寒 xū hán) is characterized by smaller abdominal cold pain that is relieved by warmth.
Medicinal therapy: Warm the channels and disperse cold. Use
Blood vacuity (血虚 xuè xū) is associated with headache, dizzy vision, and continuous smaller abdominal pain that likes pressure.
Medicinal therapy: Nourish the blood, relieve pain, and quiet the fetus. Use
Qì depression (气郁 qì yù) is smaller abdominal pain with stomach duct and abdominal distension and fullness, vexation, agitation, and irascibility.
