True headache
真头痛 〔真頭痛〕zhēn tóu tòng
Acute headache penetrating deep into the brain and reaching the vertex and accompanied by counterflow cold of the extremities up to the knees and elbows. A true headache is usually a critical sign and is attributed to evils (some say wind-cold) invading the brain.
Medicinal therapy: Use
Acumoxatherapy: Either of the following methods can be used for emergency treatment of attacks:
- Moxa
GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì). - Moxa
GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), andBL-10 (Celestial Pillar, 天柱 tiān zhù).
