Spleen vacuity copious drool

脾虚多涎 〔脾虛多涎〕 pí xū duō xián

Copious thin clear drool in infants arising when insufficiency of spleen qì prevents normal distribution of fluids. Spleen vacuity copious drool is associated with lassitude of spirit and withered-yellow facial complexion.

Medicinal therapy: Supplement the spleen and stomach, and nourish qì and the blood. Use variations of Center-Supplementing Qì-Boosting Decoction (补中益气汤 bǔ zhōng yì qì tāng).
