Catgut embedding
埋线疗法 〔埋線療法〕 mái xiàn liáo fǎ
A method of treatment whereby acupuncture points are stimulated by catgut embedded in the skin. It is used in modern clinical practice to treat wheezing and panting, stomach pain, diarrhea, enuresis, deviated eyes and mouth, epilepsy, and wilting (wěi).
