Rectal prolapse hemorrhoids
脱肛痔 〔脫肛痔〕 tuō gāng zhì
Hemorrhoids with prolapse of the rectum. Prolapse of the rectum may occur in patients who have suffered from hemorrhoids for a long time, when repeated contractions of damp-heat evil leads to qì vacuity and loss of containing power. The condition is characterized by prolapse when straining during defecation with pain and bleeding and in some cases with exudation of yellow watery fluid.
Medicinal therapy: Clear heat and transform dampness; boost qì and raise the fall. Use
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points GV, BL, ST, and LI. Select GV-20 (Hundred Convergences, 百会 bǎi huì), BL-25 (Large Intestine Transport, 大肠俞 dà cháng shù), GV-1 (Long Strong, 长强 cháng qiáng), BL-35 (Meeting of Yáng, 会阳 huì yáng), BL-57 (Mountain Support, 承山 chéng shān), LI-4 (Union Valley, 合谷 hé gǔ), LI-11 (Pool at the Bend, 曲池 qū chí), and SP-9 (Yīn Mound Spring, 阴陵泉 yīn líng quán); needle with drainage.
