Qì vacuity generalized heat

气虚身热 〔氣虛身熱〕 qì xū shēn rè

Heat effusion (fever) due to damage by summerheat-damp in patients suffering from vacuity of original qì. Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, cì zhì lùn) states, Qì vacuity generalized heat- [effusion] comes from damage by summerheat. This can be treated with Li’s Summerheat-Clearing Qì-Boosting Decoction (李氏清暑益气汤 lǐ shì qīng shǔ yì qì tāng) or Wáng’s Summerheat-Clearing Qì-Boosting Decoction (王氏清暑益气汤 wáng shì qīng shǔ yì qì tāng). Qì vacuity generalized heat may also result from damage to the spleen and stomach as a result of diet or taxation fatigue. This is treated by eliminating heat with warmth and sweetness.
