Postpartum depression and veiling

产后郁冒 〔產後鬱冒〕 chǎn hòu yù mào

1. From Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Cabinet (金匮要略 jīn guì yào lüè, fù rén chǎn hòu bìng mài zhèng bìng zhì). Depression means binding depression, constrained qì; veiling means clouding of the spirit. Postpartum depression and veiling is a dizziness and visual distortion with feelings of depression and oppression, accompanied by retching and inability to eat, hard stool, and sweating head.

Medicinal therapy: Treat by resolving both interior and exterior with Minor Bupleurum Decoction (小柴胡汤 xiǎo chái hú tāng).

2. Postpartum blood dizziness.
