Menstrual spontaneous external bleeding
经行衄血 〔經行衄血〕jīng xíng nǜ xuè
One form of counterflow menstruation. Spontaneous external bleeding during menstruation. Menstrual spontaneous external bleeding attributed to either liver depression transforming into fire or yīn vacuity and lung heat, the heat in either case damaging the network vessels and causing the blood to ascend counterflow with it.
Biomedical correspondence: vicarious menstruation.
