Rhinoceros Horn and Rehmannia Decoction
犀角地黄汤 〔犀角地黃湯〕xī jiǎo dì huáng tāng

Ingredients:
- Xī jiǎo (犀角 Rhinocerotis Cornu, rhinoceros horn) 1–3g
- Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 15–30g
- Sháo yào (芍药 Paeoniae Radix, peony [root]) 6–12g
- Mǔ dān pí (牡丹皮 Moutan Cortex, moutan [bark]) 6–12g
Action: Clears heat and resolves toxin; cools the blood and disperses stasis.
Indication: Heat entering provisioning-blood in warm heat disease with signs such as clouded spirit and delirious speech. Tongue: Red or crimson. Pulse: Fine and rapid. There may also be maculopapular eruption,
