Blood vacuity wilting

血虚痿 〔血虛痿〕xuè xū wěi

Wilting (wěi, weakness, limpness, withering) attributable to blood vacuity from postpartum or other major blood loss depriving the sinews of nourishment, characterized by wilting and lack of strength in the extremities hampering movement, and associated with a withered-yellow facial complexion and a weak fine pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Nourish the blood using Four Agents Decoction (四物汤 sì wù tāng) combined with Mysterious Two Pill (二妙丸 èr miào wán) and Yīn-Supplementing Pill (补阴丸 bǔ yīn wán), or Blood-Supplementing Sinew-Enhancing Pill (补血荣筋丸 bǔ xuè róng jīn wán).

Acumoxatherapy: Use the general treatments given under wilting, and add CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), LR-3 (Supreme Surge, 太冲 tài chōng), and BL-17 (Diaphragm Transport, 膈俞 gé shù); needle with supplementation and add moxa.
