Insufficiency of center qì
中气不足 〔中氣不足〕zhōng qì bù zú
Also spleen-stomach qì vacuity. Weakness of the spleen and stomach qì in the center burner with movement and transformation failure. Signs include yellow facial complexion with little luster, pale or dull lips, poor appetite, abdominal distension after eating, dizziness, low voice, shortness of breath, fatigue with lack of strength, sloppy stool, tender-soft tongue with thick fur, and a vacuous pulse. In some cases, there is stomach pain that likes pressure.
Medicinal therapy: Supplement the center and boost qì, using
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transports, CV, SP, and ST. Select BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), BL-21 (Stomach Transport, 胃俞 wèi shù), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán), and CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi); needle with supplementation and add moxa.
