Downbearing counterflow and checking vomiting

降逆止呕 〔降逆止嘔〕jiàng nì zhǐ ǒu

A method of treatment used to downbear counterflow and precipitate qì to treat stomach vacuity cold causing persistent hiccup, discomfort in the chest, and a slow pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Use Clove and Persimmon Decoction (丁香柿蒂汤 dīng xiāng shì dì tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment on the alarm and lower uniting points of ST. Select CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), PC-6 (Inner Pass, 内关 nèi guān), and ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ); needle with supplementation and moxa to treat stomach vacuity cold.
