A method of treatment used to eliminate blood stasis and to check bleeding in the treatment of patterns such as a) blood stasis flooding and spotting with copious purple-black clotted flow, lower abdominal pain that refuses pressure and is relieved by passing of clots, dark a gray tongue fur, and a rough pulse, or b) dribbling discharge of the lochia due to blood stasis marked by abdominal pain that refuses pressure, purple-black facial complexion, and purple tongue margins. For uterine bleeding, use medicinals such as Chinese angelica (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 当归dāng guī), chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 川芎chuān xiōng), white atractylodes (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 白朮bái zhú), typha pollen (Typhae Pollen, 蒲黄pú huáng), charred crataegus (Crataegi Fructus Carbonisatus, 山楂炭shān zhā tàn), peach kernel (Persicae Semen, 桃仁táo rén), and notoginseng (Notoginseng Radix, 三七sān qī). For dribbling discharge of the lochia, use Chinese angelica (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 当归dāng guī), red peony (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 赤芍药chì sháo yào), peach kernel (Persicae Semen, 桃仁táo rén), and blast-fried ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum, 炮姜páo jiāng).
Acumoxatherapy: Select points such as BL-17 (Diaphragm Transport, 膈俞 gé shù), SP-10 (Sea of Blood, 血海 xuè hǎi), CV-17 (Chest Center, 膻中 shān zhōng) and CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi). Needle with even supplementation and drainage.
