Actions and indications: Astringes and stanches bleeding. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); bloody stool or urine; dysentery; blood strangury; flooding and spotting; vaginal discharge; incised wounds; scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn).

Production area: Jiāngxī, Jiāngsū, ānhuī, Zhèjiāng, Fújiàn, Táiwān, Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Húnán, Húběi, Sìchuān, Guìzhōu, and Yúnnán.
