Properties: Acrid and bitter; warm; slightly toxic.

Channel entry: Lung, liver, and spleen channels.*

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and disinhibits dampness; quickens the blood and frees the network vessels. Treats rheumatic arthritis; spleen vacuity diarrhea; leg qì (jiǎo qì); puffy swelling; amenorrhea; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–12g dried, 30–60g dried) or steep in wine.
