Origin in unofficial sources: Aconitum taipeicum Hand.-Mazz.

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and slightly bitter; warm; highly toxic.

Actions and indications: Relieves pain; resolves tetany; vanquishes toxin; dispels wind-damp; quickens the blood and disperses stasis. Treats injury from knocks and falls; taxation damage; rheumatic arthritis; innominate toxin swellings (wú míng zhǒng dú); swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng) and clove sores (dīng).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (0.09–0.15g) or grind to a powder (0.03–0.09g). Topical: Grind with water, wine, or vinegar and apply juice.
