Properties: Bitter; cold; toxic.

Actions and indications: Clears heat, disinhibits urine, resolves toxin, kills worms, breaks accumulations. Treats pneumonia; parotitis; water swelling; drum distension; scrofula; sore-toxin; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g; boil for at least four hours). Topical: Grind to a powder and apply blended with liquid.
