Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet; cool; nontoxic*.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and cools the blood; disinhibits water and disperses swelling. Treats taxation heat effusion in pregnancy; stirring fetus; dispersion-thirst (xiāo kě); mouth sores; heat dysentery; strangury; vaginal discharge; water swelling; scrofula.
