Properties: Acrid; warm; slightly toxic.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and transforms phlegm; resolves toxin and disperses stasis. Treats child fright wind; summerheat stroke; abdominal pain; wheezing and panting; phlegm cough; painful swollen throat; stomach pain; toothache; wind-damp pain; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g), grind, or extract juice. Topical: Apply crushed.
