Properties: Acrid and sweet*; warm*; nontoxic*.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind, eliminates dampness, soothes the sinews, quickens the blood, and relieves pain. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; hypertonicity of sinew and bone; cold and damp leg qì (jiǎo qì); toxin swelling of sores and lichen (xiǎn).
