Actions and indications: Resolves tetany and calms pain; constrains sweating and astringes the intestines. Treats all kinds of pain; manic agitation; alcoholic tremor; toxin swelling of welling-abscesses (yōng); anthrax; bleeding from external injury; lichen (xiǎn).
Dosage and method: Oral: Grind to a powder (0.3–0.9g) and take with wine. Topical: Decoct as a wash, grind to a powder and apply mixed; rub fresh on lichen (xiǎn).
