Origin in unofficial sources: Schisandra henryi Clarke; Schisandra sphenanthera Rehd. et Wils.

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and sour; warm.

Actions and indications: Nourishes the blood and disperses stasis; rectifies qì and transforms dampness. Treats consumption damage vomiting of blood (blood ejection); pain in the extremities; stomach qì pain; leg qì (jiǎo qì) and wilting-impediment (wěi bì); menstrual irregularities; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g) or steep in wine.
