Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and bitter; cool.

Actions and indications: Clears the liver and brightens the eyes; disperses accumulation and checks diarrhea. Treats hepatitis; acute conjunctivitis; child food accumulation; dysentery; tuberculosis of lymph nodes (scrofula).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g).
