Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid; warm.

Actions and indications: Normalizes qì and dispels wind; disperses swelling and relieves pain; dries dampness and kills worms. Treats internal injury; distension in the chest; abdominal pain; sinew and bone pain; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); damp sores; scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–18g). Topical: Decoct as a wash or apply ground and blended with liquid.
