Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid; warm; nontoxic.

Actions and indications: Moves qì and warms the center; dispels wind and eliminates dampness; quickens the blood and disperses swellings. Treats stomach pain; cold pain in the chest and abdomen; wind-damp numbness and tingling; sinew and bone pain; injury from knocks and falls; toxin swellings; scrofula.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–15g), grind to a powder or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed.
